Evidence
Maeda, Tanaka, Fukutomi, Asano, Jpn. J. Appl. Phys. 27, L209 (1988): new Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O compound with a superconducting onset near 120 K and a bulk 110 K phase later identified as Bi-2223. The 110 K figure is the long-replicated ambient-pressure Tc of the 2223 phase used in silver-sheathed tapes.

Evidence
Gavaler, Appl. Phys. Lett. 23, 480 (1973): sputtered Nb3Ge films with an onset near 23 K; subsequent work locked the ambient-pressure A15 record at 23.2 K. Held the record from 1973 until the cuprates. Replicated A15 intermetallic.
