Evidence
Ambient-pressure record in the cuprate family. Huang, Meng, Chu et al., Physica C 217 (1993): resistivity vanishes below 134 K after oxygenation; Nature 365, 323 (1993) then reports the same compound above 150 K only under high pressure. Later single-crystal work optimises Tc max to 133 K. npj Quantum Materials (2025) still treats Tc ≈ 134 K as the ambient-pressure record. Ranking uses the long-replicated ~135 K ambient figure, not the pressure result.Rank 07 of 8

Gavaler, Appl. Phys. Lett. 23, 480 (1973): sputtered Nb3Ge films with an onset near 23 K; subsequent work locked the ambient-pressure A15 record at 23.2 K. Held the record from 1973 until the cuprates. Replicated A15 intermetallic.Try another pair
