Evidence
Ambient-pressure record in the cuprate family. Huang, Meng, Chu et al., Physica C 217 (1993): resistivity vanishes below 134 K after oxygenation; Nature 365, 323 (1993) then reports the same compound above 150 K only under high pressure. Later single-crystal work optimises Tc max to 133 K. npj Quantum Materials (2025) still treats Tc ≈ 134 K as the ambient-pressure record. Ranking uses the long-replicated ~135 K ambient figure, not the pressure result.Rank 02 of 8

Parkin, Lee, Engler, Nazzal, Huang, Gorman, Savoy, Beyers, Phys. Rev. Lett. 60, 2539 (1988): "Bulk superconductivity is reported in Tl2Ca2Ba2Cu3Ox with a transition to zero resistance at ≃125 K, the highest transition temperature (Tc) yet found." Widely replicated ambient-pressure cuprate; Tc 118–125 K depending on intergrowths.Try another pair
