Evidence
Ambient-pressure record in the cuprate family. Huang, Meng, Chu et al., Physica C 217 (1993): resistivity vanishes below 134 K after oxygenation; Nature 365, 323 (1993) then reports the same compound above 150 K only under high pressure. Later single-crystal work optimises Tc max to 133 K. npj Quantum Materials (2025) still treats Tc ≈ 134 K as the ambient-pressure record. Ranking uses the long-replicated ~135 K ambient figure, not the pressure result.

Matthias, Geballe, Geller, Corenzwit, Phys. Rev. 95, 1435 (1954): superconductivity in Nb3Sn near 18 K. Modern wire-grade Nb3Sn is quoted at 18.0–18.3 K ambient. Still the workhorse A15 conductor for high-field magnets.
